Eleanor Dashwood, Oil on primed paper (11" x 14")
I love most of the movies based on Jane Austen's novels. "Sense and Sensibility" is my favourite. Emma Thompson was very impressive with the way she played Eleanor Dashwood, my favourite character on film.
I did this painting more than an year ago. I hope I could do justice here.

I have never read Jane Austin, neither I have seen any movies based on her novel. But the lady in this painting feels as if she would belong to such a book. This is very very lovely.

I love this. I also enjoy Emma in this movie. The scene where she starts crying (out of happiness) is amazing. Good choice of subject matter & beautiful portrait!
